All items are 100% food, microwave and dishwasher safe, but some of them (memory bowls, gratitude bowls) are not ideal for food and beverage use due to their nature (raw edge detail, textured interiors etc.)

Wine cups, Sake cups and Mugs of course, are another story, feel free to pour, imbibe, dishwash and repeat to your heart's content.

The more decorative items are incredibly resilient and durable, despite their delicate appearance...this is the beauty and the nature of porcelain. They can be scrubbed with regular soap and water, or placed in the dishwasher if they become dusty or soiled.

 

Are the decorative bowls as fragile as they look?

My off the cuff, joking answer to this question is simply this: if you can touch a wine glass without breaking it, you can confidently keep my work in your home.

On a deeper level, I am truly, madly, deeply in love with porcelain, for only this wise diva of a clay makes my work possible. She allows me to stretch her, mold her, carve her to incredible thinness...even to the point where I can literally see right through her...and yet when fired to maturity becomes one of the strongest materials on earth.
